Salem Al-Shan'i, the district chief of Al-Salam in the city of Rada'a, Al-Bayda Governorate, has issued a strong condemnation of Houthi militia leader Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi, accusing him of falsehood, injustice, and corruption. Al-Shan'i, in a video circulating on Facebook, vowed to continue exposing the practices of the militia's followers. In the widely shared video, Al-Shan'i urged Yemenis to take action in protest against the deteriorating living conditions. He called for what he described as a "hunger revolution," advocating for the rights of women driven by poverty and hunger to search for food in garbage bins, and for teachers who are deprived of their salaries. Al-Shan'i criticized what he termed Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi's governance from behind a television screen, accusing him of practicing deception and misinformation. He held the Houthi militia responsible for exacerbating citizens' suffering and the decline of their economic and living conditions. Furthermore, Al-Shan'i affirmed his determination to continue exposing the militia's actions, defying threats by stating, "Kill me in one minute," to express his unwavering resolve in criticizing them. |
