A civilian was killed by Houthi militia gunfire on Monday evening in the Al-Wazi'iyah district, west of Taiz province, according to local sources. The sources specified that elements of the Houthi militia shot and killed the citizen, Thabet Hassan Marrah, while he was on his land in the Sadan area of Al-Wazi'iyah district. This incident is part of a series of violations and aggressions perpetrated by the Houthi militia against civilians in areas they have controlled by force since September 9th. Earlier reports indicated that 12 Iranian experts are managing Houthi militia operations near Bab el-Mandeb. Additionally, the Yemeni Armed Forces reported carrying out 356 operations in the past 24 hours, destroying Houthi command centers, gatherings, weapon depots, and military vehicles. In a separate incident in Taiz, a young man was killed inside the Al-Turba Public Prosecution prison. The Houthis have also reportedly evacuated the "Maw'ahom Rahmah" residential city for displaced persons in Al-Khokha and looted its contents. An international organization stated that over 145,000 people have been displaced in Yemen since the Houthi military escalation on the West Coast began. |
