The Giant Brigades announced on Friday that they have successfully thwarted all attempts by the Houthi militia to advance towards the fronts of Kadhb and the Al-Mudharaba regions in Lahj Governorate over the past two weeks, inflicting significant losses on the militia. In a press statement, the brigades stated that the Houthi militia deployed large concentrations of forces to the combat axes in Kadhb and Al-Mudharaba in an effort to advance from the west coast. However, the Giant Brigades' forces confronted the successive attacks and halted their progress. The statement added that their forces destroyed the attacking formations of the militia and foiled their repeated attempts to advance, noting that the confrontations resulted in "enormous and devastating losses" for the Houthis in terms of lives and equipment. The statement clarified that after reinforcing the front, the Giant Brigades' forces were able to clear and regain control of several positions that the Houthi militia had previously occupied, emphasizing the continued resistance against Houthi attempts to advance in the Kadhb and Al-Mudharaba fronts. It was indicated that the militia pushed from the west coast towards these fronts, but the Giant Brigades' forces managed to contain the attacks and stop their progress, confirming that they foiled Houthi attempts to advance "not even an inch." |
