Yemeni government forces reported on Saturday the death and injury of three Houthi militants during armed confrontations in the Al-Anin front, Jabal Habashi district, west of Taiz Governorate. The incident occurred one day after government forces thwarted an infiltration attempt on the eastern front of the city. A field military source, citing government forces, stated that the clashes in the Al-Anin front resulted in the death and injury of three Houthi militia members following direct engagements between the two sides. On Friday, government forces successfully repelled an attempted infiltration by Houthi militia elements in the Al-Kureifat area, east of Taiz city. The Houthi objective was reportedly to seize and occupy several military positions. Clashes ensued after the infiltration attempt, involving various types of medium and heavy weaponry. These engagements led to casualties, including deaths and injuries, among the Houthi militia ranks, in addition to material losses. |
