Armed Clashes Erupt Over Land Dispute in Aden's Al-Mansoura District

Armed clashes erupted Tuesday morning between security forces and gunmen in the Al-Mansoura district, north of the temporary capital of Aden, stemming from a land dispute in the Al-Sanafir neighborhood.

Local sources indicated that the confrontations occurred between soldiers from the Land Protection Battalion and an armed individual, adjacent to Al-Firdaws Mosque in the Al-Sanafir area, following a dispute over a plot of land neighboring the mosque.

The sources added that the engagements continued intermittently before ceasing later, with no human casualties reported.

Security forces were deployed around the area following the incident to secure the site and prevent the recurrence of clashes, while a state of tension prevailed among residents.

Official security authorities have not yet issued a statement clarifying the circumstances of the clashes or the measures taken regarding the incident.
