A young man, Mohammed Ahmed Al-Haddar, has died in the central prison of Al-Bayda Governorate, which is under Houthi militia control, amid escalating accusations that the militia tortured him to death.

Local sources confirmed that an examination of the victim's body revealed severe and evident signs of torture, including a broken nose and multiple fractured ribs. This strongly suggests he endured grave physical abuse that led to his death within the prison.

In a related development, the organization "Irada for Combating Torture and Forced Disappearance" documented approximately 752 cases of forced disappearance in militia prisons since 2014, including 237 children, as of the beginning of this month.

This incident coincides with a rise in human rights reports indicating that dozens of detainees have died under torture in recent months. Additionally, death sentences have been issued against dozens more. These developments are occurring amidst ongoing international and human rights demands for independent investigations and accountability for those involved in these violations.
