Tribes from the Hais and Jabal Ras districts in Hodeidah Governorate have declared their readiness to reinforce the West Coast fronts with fighters, affirming their support for efforts to restore state institutions. A statement issued following a tribal gathering confirmed the tribes' backing for all initiatives aimed at ending the Houthi militia's coup and reinstating the state. The tribes called upon national forces to overcome differences and unite against the Houthi agenda. The statement emphasized the military institution's responsibility to defend the nation's sovereignty and confront Houthi escalation, as well as what it described as Iranian interventions seeking to transform Yemen into a base for threatening international navigation and regional security. Participants in the gathering urged the Presidential Leadership Council and the government to expedite the necessary procedures for operating Al-Mokha International Airport. They highlighted its importance as a vital gateway for alleviating citizens' suffering and boosting civilian movement in liberated areas. The statement accused the Houthi militia of causing the closure of Sana'a Airport, asserting that the group exploits the suffering of Yemenis for political leverage and aims to obstruct peace efforts and prolong the crisis. |
