Shabwah Governor and Security Committee Chairman, Awad Mohammed bin Al-Wazir, has stressed the critical importance of enhancing the combat readiness of armed forces stationed in the Bayhan-Hurayb front, affirming that supporting military units and bolstering their capabilities are paramount to maintaining security, stability, and confronting field challenges. This directive was issued during a meeting with the Commander of the Third Brigade of Shabwah Defense and Commander of the Bayhan-Hurayb Front, Brigadier General Fawzi Hussein Al-Saadi. Governor bin Al-Wazir was briefed on the latest military developments, operational progress, and the current state of combat preparedness in the front. Bin Al-Wazir lauded what he described as the significant sacrifices made by members of the armed forces, commending their vigilance and discipline in repelling attacks launched by the Houthi militia. He reiterated the local authority's commitment to providing ongoing logistical and material support to enhance the forces' efficiency and consolidate security and stability within the governorate. Brigadier General Fawzi Al-Saadi, in turn, provided an overview of the field operations, noting that military units are continuing to execute their duties with high competence and effectiveness. He highlighted their successful engagement with repeated attacks by the Houthi militia, particularly those employing drones, attributing this success to a high level of combat readiness and constant preparedness. Concluding the meeting, the Governor of Shabwah called for intensified training and qualification programs and improved coordination among various military and security units. He emphasized that the Bayhan-Hurayb front is a strategic theater in the ongoing battle to restore state institutions and protect national gains, underscoring the need for elevated readiness to counter existing threats. |
