The Red Sea Ports Authority has refuted reports claiming that the commercial vessel "GAZ GMS," recently subjected to U.S. sanctions, docked and unloaded cargo at the port of Mokha. The authority dismissed these reports as "allegations not based on any factual information."

In a press statement, the authority stated that the circulated information regarding the docking and unloading of the "GAZ GMS" at the port is misleading and entirely untrue. It emphasized that the port operates in accordance with the prevailing laws and regulations of the Republic of Yemen, and that maritime traffic is subject to continuous and transparent monitoring.

The authority clarified that the records of Mokha Port and its accredited monitoring systems conclusively prove that the aforementioned vessel did not enter the port. It stressed its full commitment to international legal standards and regulations governing maritime navigation.

The authority affirmed that the management of Mokha Port adheres to strict inspection and monitoring procedures for all arriving vessels, and does not permit the reception or provision of any services to vessels or commercial networks subject to international sanctions, including transit services.

The authority urged media outlets and news platforms to exercise accuracy and credibility when reporting on Yemeni ports, and to rely on official sources from the Ministry of Transport and port management for correct information. This, it stated, contributes to protecting the reputation of Yemeni ports and enhancing international confidence in the country's maritime transport sector.
