Houthi militia forces have detained Sheikh Hamad bin Rashid Fudgham Al-Hazmi, along with his family and entourage, in the capital Sanaa, triggering widespread anger and a tribal mobilization, known as "Al-Nakf," among the tribes of Al Jawf governorate.

Tribal sources reported that a military convoy, comprising approximately 50 armed vehicles, intercepted Sheikh Al-Hazmi's procession at the Al-Hattarish checkpoint on the eastern outskirts of Sanaa. The Sheikh and his companions were en route to Al Jawf governorate when the operation took place.

The detention reportedly extended to Sheikh Al-Hazmi's family and a figure identified as Meera Saddam Hussein. All individuals were taken to an undisclosed location under heavy guard, according to field sources.

In response to the reported abduction, the tribes of Al Jawf declared a state of tribal emergency, calling for a general mobilization and readiness to retaliate against what they termed a "blatant violation" against their tribal leaders.

Sources indicate a rapidly escalating tension, with warnings of a potential military confrontation if the detained individuals are not immediately released. Furthermore, there are demands for Houthi leader Fares Manna' to relinquish properties belonging to Meera Saddam Hussein, which he allegedly seized without legal justification.

This incident occurs amidst ongoing abuses by the Houthi militia against social and tribal dignitaries in areas under their control, exacerbating the rift between the militia and Yemeni tribal society.
