Security forces in Aden, Yemen's interim capital, have successfully intercepted a significant shipment of ammunition destined for the Houthi group. The operation involved the seizure of a truck in the Khor Maksar district.

An operational source reported that the interception occurred at a checkpoint belonging to the eastern sector. Suspicion fell upon a "Dina" type truck due to unusual modifications to its chassis. This prompted a thorough inspection, leading to the detention of the driver and his associate.

The truck was subsequently moved to a security facility, where detailed searches revealed hidden compartments within the structure. These compartments, concealed by robust steel layers to evade detection, contained the illicit ammunition.

According to the source, the seized items included ammunition of various calibers, specifically 23mm, 21mm, and 14.5mm. Additionally, ammunition plates for heavy machine guns, identified as "Dushka," and related equipment were confiscated.

Initial investigations suggest a connection between the detained individuals and a smuggling network suspected of supplying weapons to areas under Houthi control.
