Dozens of displaced Yemeni employees staged a protest on Sunday evening outside Al-Maasheeq Palace in Aden, the temporary capital, demanding the disbursement of long-overdue salaries dating back to early 2025 and the settlement of all their legal entitlements.

Participants held signs urging the government to intervene to resolve the plight of employees who were forced to flee areas under the control of the Iran-backed Houthi militia. Protesters emphasized that the suspension of salaries has severely strained them financially and materially.

The demonstrators called for the retroactive payment of all outstanding salaries, the reinstatement of employees removed from payroll lists, the registration of those previously omitted, and the facilitation of their return to work within government institutions.

In a related action, the Employees Council of Al-Bayda Governorate organized a separate protest on Sunday morning in front of the Ministry of Finance in Khormaksar district, Aden. This demonstration included staff from Al-Bayda along with other displaced employees from various governorates.

These protesters specifically demanded payment for the November and December 2025 salaries, along with all accumulated financial dues, including increments and overdue bonuses. They also insisted that Al-Bayda Governorate be officially recognized among the liberated governorates to ensure full employee rights are granted.

Participants in both demonstrations asserted that their demands are founded upon guaranteed legal rights, calling for immediate governmental action to ensure regular salary payments and alleviate the severe living hardships confronting thousands of families.
