A 13-year-old girl has died in the Al-Jawbin district of Raymah Governorate, northwest Yemen, after allegedly being thrown into a well on her father's farm. The incident has caused widespread shock among local residents.

Local sources report that the girl's father, identified as a leader within the Houthi militia, is accused of throwing her into the well located on his farm in the Wadi Al-Urayd area. The alleged motive stems from ongoing family disputes that have persisted for years.

According to the sources, the girl's mother had previously left the marital home due to family disagreements and sought legal recourse. A court subsequently issued a divorce decree, but its implementation faced obstacles, leaving the dispute unresolved.

The girl had recently expressed a desire to visit her mother, a request her father reportedly refused. These escalating tensions culminated in the incident leading to her death.

Conversely, the father has denied responsibility, claiming that villagers threw the girl into the well. However, residents of the area have expressed skepticism, noting that the well is situated within his private farm, enclosed by a wall and a locked gate.

The girl's body has been placed in a hospital morgue. No official statement has yet been released detailing the circumstances of the incident.
