A Houthi militiaman fatally shot his elder brother following a family dispute concerning a piece of land in the Arhab district, north of the capital Sanaa. This incident marks the latest instance of domestic violence reported in areas under Houthi control.

Local sources revealed that the assailant, identified as Mohammed Abdullah Qaid Al-Adhri, a Houthi armed member, killed his brother, Abdul Razzaq, on Monday. The altercation reportedly stemmed from a disagreement over land ownership in the village of Beit Al-Adhri, within the Sha'ab locality of Arhab district.

Sources further indicated that this crime occurs amidst a rise in family conflicts and homicides within Houthi-controlled territories. This trend is attributed to the proliferation of a culture of violence, the absence of effective law enforcement, and the societal impact of continuous Houthi mobilization efforts and indoctrination programs.

Human rights statistics suggest that hundreds of individuals are killed or injured annually in domestic violence incidents within Houthi-controlled regions. A significant proportion of these crimes are perpetrated by Houthi elements, their leaders, or individuals influenced by the group's militant rhetoric.
