Taiz Protest Demands Accountability for Security, Military Leaders Over Detainees

Mothers and relatives of forcibly disappeared and detained individuals in Al-Turbah, Taiz Governorate, held a protest demanding disclosure of their loved ones' fates and their immediate, lawful release.

The demonstrators emphasized the urgent need to implement directives from judicial authorities and senior state leadership regarding the release of detainees, asserting that this humanitarian file cannot tolerate further delay and that the suffering of the families must conclude with justice and transparency.

Protesters chanted slogans calling for accountability for Colonel Abdullah Saeed Al-Wahbani, Director of Security for Al-Turbah, and Shoaib Al-Adimi, Director of Intelligence in the Fourth Mountain Infantry Brigade—both affiliated with the Islah Party—accusing them of infringing upon citizens' freedoms, committing violations against them, and refusing to execute Public Prosecution orders.

The mothers expressed demands for the respect of human rights and the preservation of dignity, urging the responsible authorities to assume their legal and ethical obligations to provide redress for those affected.
