Yemeni government forces, recognized internationally, conducted airstrikes early Friday targeting Houthi military sites, barracks, and high-value objectives in Sanaa and Saada governorates. These operations are intended to support government troops engaged in military actions in Taiz governorate, southwestern Yemen.

Colonel Majed Al-Nazeeli, the official spokesperson for the armed forces of the Yemeni internationally recognized government, stated that the air offensive targeted critical assets in the capital, Sanaa, and 11 significant objectives in Saada, the primary stronghold of militia leader Abdulmalik Al-Houthi. He emphasized that these strikes are part of a broader effort to reinforce government forces on the Taiz fronts, underscoring the unity of efforts across various battlefronts.

Al-Nazeeli asserted that Taiz has "broken the Houthis" and affirmed that the armed forces will persist in their combat operations against the militia throughout the country. He previously announced that the air force had executed 27 precise and concentrated airstrikes across Taiz's combat fronts, targeting what he described as an "integrated military system" belonging to the Houthi militia.

According to Al-Nazeeli, the targeted objectives included a missile storage facility, command and control centers, advanced supply and armament points, as well as gatherings of militia elements and military vehicles. The strikes reportedly hit locations in various districts and areas around Taiz city, including the 60th Street, Bani Omar, Hamir front in the Muqbanah district, east of Al-Waze'iyah, Al-Ahkoom, Al-Athawer in Haifan district, and Al-Kadha, Jabal Nu'man, Al-Kuraifat, Aqabat Muneef, Al-Tashrifat, Al-Aqrood, Sam'a, and Al-Shaqab in Sabr Al-Mawadim.

Al-Nazeeli reported that the airstrikes achieved direct hits on the intended targets, resulting in the destruction of numerous military vehicles and capabilities, and causing significant casualties among Houthi militia elements, with many killed and wounded.
