Armed Forces Thwart Houthi Attacks in Al-Ahkoum, Reinforce Haifan Positions

The Yemeni Armed Forces announced on Thursday morning that they successfully repelled Houthi militia attacks on the Al-Ahkoum front in Taiz Governorate, inflicting significant human losses and destroying military equipment on the attackers.

Colonel Majed Al-Nuzaili, the official spokesperson for the Armed Forces, stated in a release published by the Armed Forces Media Center that the forces managed to break the Houthi assaults, resulting in dozens of casualties among the militia ranks. He added that the armed forces pushed back Houthi elements that had infiltrated the Haija Al-Abd road.

Al-Nuzaili indicated that the substantial losses incurred by the Houthi militia compelled them to withdraw immediately, preventing any battlefield advancements. The spokesperson confirmed a widespread deployment of armed forces, supported by popular resistance fighters, across various positions within the Haifan front, as part of ongoing efforts to counter Houthi movements and attacks.
