Armed Forces Foil Houthi Attacks in Al-Ahkoum Front, Bolster Haifan Presence

The Armed Forces announced on Thursday morning the foiling of Houthi militia attacks on the Al-Ahkoum front in Taiz Governorate, southwestern Yemen. The military confirmed inflicting human losses and destroying weapons on the attacking forces.

Colonel Majid Al-Nizaili, the official spokesperson for the Armed Forces, stated in a release published by the Armed Forces Media Center that the forces successfully repelled the Houthi assaults, causing dozens of casualties among the militia ranks, including killed and wounded. He added that the Armed Forces drove back elements of the Houthi forces that had infiltrated the Haija Al-Abd road.

Al-Nizaili indicated that the significant human losses sustained by the militia compelled an immediate withdrawal, preventing them from achieving any battlefield advances. He affirmed the widespread deployment of Armed Forces personnel, supported by popular resistance fighters, across various positions on the Haifan front, as part of efforts to counter Houthi movements and attacks.
