Yemeni Journalists Syndicate Condemns Attack on Reporter, Demands Justice

The Yemeni Journalists Syndicate has strongly condemned a serious knife attack against journalist Tawfiq Al-Qadami, demanding an immediate and transparent investigation by the de facto authorities in Sana'a. Al-Qadami sustained multiple stab wounds, including one to his lower neck, during the assault which occurred on Monday, September 14, 2026, in the Daras area of the capital.

The syndicate received a report from Al-Qadami's family detailing the incident. The organization emphasized the critical need for the authorities to uncover the circumstances and motives behind the attack and to swiftly apprehend all individuals involved.

Furthermore, the Yemeni Journalists Syndicate stressed that no interference or pressure should be permitted to impede the investigation or allow any perpetrators to evade accountability. The syndicate also called for ensuring the safety and necessary protection for Al-Qadami and his family, given the severity of the violent assault he endured.
