Brigadier General Walid Ziyad, Chief of Staff of the Second Division of the National Resistance, has categorically refuted rumors propagated by the Iran-backed Houthi militia regarding his arrival in the capital, Sanaa. He asserted that these reports are baseless and part of disinformation campaigns.

In a press statement, Brigadier General Ziyad reaffirmed the National Resistance's commitment to national principles. He emphasized that their withdrawal from Sanaa on December 4, 2017, was a strategic decision, and their return will solely be through liberation, regardless of the sacrifices the Yemeni people may endure to reclaim their state.

The military official clarified that redeployment to the West Coast does not signify an end to the confrontation. Instead, it marks the beginning of a new, more intense phase of military operations for the Yemeni Armed Forces, with the strategic objective of defeating the coup remaining steadfast.

Brigadier General Ziyad highlighted the substantial sacrifices made by the National Resistance in their battles against the militia over the past three weeks, confirming that the Houthi enemy sustained heavy casualties. These engagements involved direct confrontation with experts affiliated with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps.

He concluded his statement by noting that the Houthi militia relied on an arsenal of ballistic missiles, drones, and explosive-laden boats in a desperate attempt to execute the Iranian plan aimed at controlling the strategic Bab al-Mandab strait and threatening international navigation.
