An armed assailant opened fire on a private residence in the Shak'a area of Al-Husayn district in Yemen's southern Al Dhale province last night, causing significant material damage and widespread panic among the occupants. No human casualties were reported, according to local residents.

Residents stated that unidentified gunmen intensely targeted the home of Abdullah Mosaad Kadash, a local resident, with gunfire directed at windows and doors. Several bullets penetrated the walls and doors, entering the interior of the house.

They added that one of Kadash's vehicles was also subjected to heavy gunfire, sustaining numerous bullet impacts. The incident instilled fear and terror among the women and children inside the home.

Residents of the Shak'a area, representing various segments of the community, condemned the incident as a criminal act that could have resulted in fatalities or injuries. They have called upon security agencies to swiftly investigate the incident and apprehend those responsible.

The local community urged the governor of Al Dhale, the provincial security director, and district security authorities to fulfill their responsibilities by pursuing the perpetrators and taking legal action against them. They emphasized that protecting citizens and their property requires a firm response to such incidents.

The motives behind the attack and the identities of the perpetrators remain unclear. Official statements from security authorities regarding the incident have not yet been released.
