Yemeni Forces Repel Houthi Attack in Taiz, Inflicting Casualties

Government forces in the Taiz axis announced on Tuesday the successful repulsion of an attack by the Houthi militia on their positions in the Kalaba front, northeast of Taiz city, reporting significant human and material losses for the attackers.

A military source from the Armed Forces Information Center stated that units of the government forces confronted the Houthi assault in the Al-Safa area of the Kalaba front following intense confrontations involving various types of weaponry.

The source elaborated that the clashes resulted in the deaths of eight Houthi elements and the injury of fifteen others, in addition to material losses. The government forces were able to thwart the offensive operation and compel the attacking elements to retreat.

The fronts in several Yemeni governorates periodically witness intermittent clashes between the government forces and other military formations on one side, and the Houthi militia, supported by experts from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, on the other.
