The body of Ibrahim Al-Qini, also known as "Kaara," was discovered on the roof of an abandoned mosque in the Khawlan district of Sanaa governorate, more than a month after he was reported missing. Local sources reported that the remains were found in a state of decomposition, suggesting the young man had been deceased for over a month. The mosque, Al-Jame' Al-A'la in the Joban fortress, located in the Bani Asaad area, has been disused and no longer holds regular prayers. The discovery was made by Houthi elements who had ascended to the mosque's roof to install decorations for the Prophet's birthday celebration. They reportedly detected a foul odor, which led to the discovery of the body. The circumstances surrounding Al-Qini's death remain unclear. Investigations are ongoing to determine whether his demise was accidental or the result of foul play. Details regarding his disappearance and how he came to be on the abandoned mosque's roof are also yet to be established. |
