A young man has died in the Ibb Governorate after being fatally stabbed during a dispute over a debt equivalent to approximately $30 USD. Local sources reported that the victim, identified as Shayeif Mansour Al-Hilali, sustained a fatal stab wound to the chest from a dagger. The incident occurred following an argument that escalated into a physical altercation with a khat seller at Al-Hilali's workshop in the Mitam junction area. The disagreement reportedly centered on the price of khat. Sources further indicated that Al-Hilali was immediately transported to Al-Nasr Hospital following the attack. However, he succumbed to his injuries en route to the facility. The value of the debt in question did not exceed five thousand Yemeni riyals. This incident has generated widespread dismay among residents, who expressed shock at the escalating violence and the loss of life over trivial financial disagreements. |
