An unidentified armed group assassinated an officer in Sayun, Hadramout Governorate, southeastern Yemen, on Wednesday evening. Local sources reported that unknown assailants opened fire on an officer identified as Lafi Ahmed Salem bin Jaafar Al-Ameri in the Tarba area of Sayun district. The officer was killed instantly at the scene, and the perpetrators fled. No official statement regarding the assassination has been released as of the time of reporting. |
