Man Fatally Stabbed by Relative in Ibb Amidst Rising Violence

A civilian was fatally stabbed by one of his relatives in the city of Ibb in central Yemen on Tuesday evening, amidst escalating violence and security unrest in the province controlled by the Houthi militia.

Local sources reported that the victim, Walid Al-Nadhari, was attacked with a knife near a mosque in Ibb shortly before sunset, sustaining critical injuries. Mosque attendees were reportedly alerted by the imam to Al-Nadhari's stabbing within the mosque premises. Citizens rushed to the scene to find him bleeding profusely. He was immediately transported to a hospital but succumbed to his wounds.

According to the sources, the assailant, who is related to the victim, did not stop at attacking Al-Nadhari. Following the crime, the perpetrator proceeded to the "Rayl Plaza" area in Ibb and stabbed another woman before being apprehended by authorities.

This incident occurs at a time when Ibb is experiencing a notable increase in murders and armed assaults, reflecting a general state of security breakdown within the province under Houthi control.
