Health authorities in Aden have mandated that all pharmaceutical manufacturers and importers clearly display the official retail price on medication packaging, effective immediately. This directive aims to regulate the market and curb significant price disparities, despite recent improvements in the local currency's value in areas controlled by the internationally recognized government. The Supreme Authority for Medicines and Medical Supplies in Aden issued a circular granting companies a one-month grace period to begin printing the approved pricing on each pharmaceutical unit. The requirement applies to both medications and medical supplies. The Authority warned that legal action would be taken against non-compliant entities, including referral to relevant judicial bodies. It emphasized that the decision is part of broader efforts to protect citizens' rights, enhance price transparency, and ensure the stability of drug supplies while preventing price manipulation in local markets. |
