Two Youths Injured and Killed in Separate Attacks in Ibb and Dhamar

Two young men were killed and injured in separate altercations and assaults in the governorates of Ibb and Dhamar, which are under Houthi militia control, amidst widespread security chaos in the areas they control.

Local sources in Ibb governorate reported that the young man, Abdulsalam Hafizullah Hammoud Al-Dhelai, died from stab wounds following a personal dispute with another individual in the Bani Al-Othmani area of Al-Saddah district, east of Ibb. The sources clarified that the assailant delivered a fatal stab to the victim's heart with a bladed weapon, resulting in his immediate death.

In another incident in the Al-Hada district of Dhamar governorate, an armed gang attacked the young man, Abdul Jabbar Hassan Saleh Al-Omari. Local residents stated that a group of individuals carried out a premeditated group assault on Al-Omari, with one of them striking him on the head with an axe.

According to residents, the assault stemmed from a minor dispute between a gang member and the victim's brother. The assailant then summoned the rest of his gang to the location, and they intentionally attacked both brothers using sticks and axes. The victim was transported to a hospital in Dhamar, where he is currently in extremely critical condition in intensive care.

These incidents occur amid unprecedented security breakdown and a frightening escalation in criminal crime rates in the governorates under Houthi militia control.
