An elderly civilian was wounded by gunfire from a Houthi militia sniper on Sunday, March 23, 2026, in a district of Taiz city, the capital of Taiz Governorate. A local source confirmed that the injured man, Shaif Abdul Sagheer Al-Athouri, 65, sustained the injury from a sniper affiliated with the Houthi terrorist militia in the Kalaba neighborhood of Taiz city, marking another incident involving the targeting of civilians. According to the source, Al-Athouri was shot in the hand while he was present in the Barid Al-Rawdah area. He was subsequently rushed to Al-Thawra Hospital to receive medical treatment and is currently under observation. |
