A traveling vendor was fatally shot on Wednesday in the Sana' market in Al-Dhale' city, an incident that has provoked widespread shock and condemnation among residents, prompting urgent calls for a full investigation and accountability for those responsible.

Local sources confirmed that the victim, identified as Bashar, who sold fireworks and vegetables and hailed from the Al-Far' al-Aden district in Ibb Governorate, was targeted by an armed individual in the Sana' market during Wednesday afternoon, resulting in his immediate death.

According to these sources, the fatal confrontation arose from a dispute between the victim and the assailant concerning the payment of a financial levy. The vendor reportedly refused to pay the demanded sum again, escalating the disagreement into gunfire within the bustling marketplace crowded with shoppers.

The sources further indicated that the deceased was a simple itinerant vendor who had traveled to Al-Dhale' seeking sustenance for his family and children, capitalizing on increased market activity during the month of Ramadan, only to have his life tragically cut short.
