Improvised Explosive Device Injures Soldier in Seiyun Military Vehicle Attack

A soldier belonging to the "Shield of the Homeland" forces sustained injuries on Saturday evening when an improvised explosive device (IED) detonated against a military vehicle in the city of Seiyun, Hadramout Governorate, causing collateral damage to civilian property.

An informed source reported that unidentified assailants planted the explosive device on a military pickup truck, which detonated while the vehicle was traversing the vital Al-Suhail Street. The explosion resulted in the vehicle's driver sustaining varying degrees of injury, necessitating immediate transfer to a hospital for essential medical treatment.

The source further clarified that the impact of the blast was not confined to the targeted military mechanism. The explosion extended to inflict material damage upon several civilian automobiles parked in the vicinity of the incident site, subsequently generating considerable alarm among passersby.

Following the attack, security apparatuses and investigative teams immediately cordoned off the crime scene.
