Yemeni armed forces, recognized internationally, reported neutralizing approximately 800 Houthi fighters and destroying or disabling over 190 military vehicles in the past 24 hours during the "Dawn of Yemen" operation. The spokesperson for the armed forces, Colonel Majid Al-Nuzayli, stated that 1,417 precise targeting operations were conducted using warplanes, drones, field artillery, and rocket launchers. These operations targeted Houthi gatherings, reinforcements, fortified positions, firing points, armored vehicles, and drone launch sites. Al-Nuzayli further explained that the strikes disrupted the militia's movements, hindered their ability to send reserves to the front lines, and prevented them from achieving tactical objectives. The operations also resulted in the destruction of fortifications and firing positions. In the eastern front, military units continued to comb enemy positions and expand control, securing a new tactical field position. In Taiz governorate, southwest Yemen, government forces repelled continuous Houthi assaults, while air force strikes hit militia positions and reinforcements, inflicting casualties and equipment losses. The armed forces affirmed that their operations target legitimate military objectives in accordance with international humanitarian law and customary rules. They reiterated their call for residents in Houthi-controlled areas to protect their children from conscription and deployment in battles. These operations are part of the "Dawn of Yemen" campaign against the Iranian-backed Houthi militia, as stated by the official army spokesperson. |
