A woman has been killed and two children have been injured as a result of shelling that targeted residential areas in the Taiz governorate, according to the Yemeni Network for Rights and Freedoms. The network reported that a woman died when a shell fired by the Houthi militia struck a residential house in the Al-Turbah area. Another shell landed on Friday morning in the Wadi Al-Qadi area in the city center of Taiz, resulting in the injury of two children. The Houthi militia is responsible for firing both shells. The targeting of residential areas poses a significant risk to the lives of civilians, particularly women and children. The network has called for an immediate cessation of attacks on residential neighborhoods and homes, urging for the assurance of civilian protection and the accountability of those responsible for these violations. |
