Yemen's Armed Forces announced on Thursday the downing of a drone belonging to the Houthi terrorist militia in the skies of Jabal Habashi district, west of Taiz Governorate. This incident occurred concurrently with engagements across several fronts in the governorate over the past 24 hours. A military source confirmed that the Air Defense units of the Armed Forces successfully intercepted and destroyed a Houthi drone as it was flying over their positions in the Jabal Habashi front. The media center of the Armed Forces had previously reported that army forces engaged in clashes with Houthi militias on multiple fronts within the Taiz axis, utilizing various weaponry. The confrontations were concentrated in the Al-Ahtob, Al-Kadha, Al-Dabab, and Al-Salu fronts, in addition to the eastern front of Taiz city. The source further stated that the engagements resulted in casualties among the Houthi militia ranks. The fronts of Taiz Governorate are currently experiencing continuous confrontations between the Armed Forces and the Iran-backed Houthi militia, amid a surge in military operations across several areas of the governorate. |
