UK Maritime Authority Reports Oil Tanker Incident East of Aden

The UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) confirmed on Thursday that it received a report of a maritime incident approximately 75 nautical miles east of the Yemeni city of Aden.

The authority stated that an oil tanker reported being pursued and intercepted by a small craft while navigating in the area.

According to available information, there have been no reports of injuries or damage to the tanker. The incident is currently under investigation.

The authority did not identify the perpetrators of the incident. Commercial vessels continue to implement precautionary measures in navigation areas near the Yemeni coast.
