The official spokesperson for the Joint Forces of the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen, Major General Turki Al-Maliki, declared that the recent military escalation by the Houthi terrorist militia against Saudi Arabia represents an irresponsible hostile approach. He affirmed the coalition's determination to take deterrent measures to protect national sovereignty and civilian safety. Major General Al-Maliki explained that the Houthi's reckless attacks, which targeted civilian and economic sites in the cities of Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jizan, and Najran, resulted in the injury of 73 civilians, including women and children. He pointed out that these assaults constitute a flagrant violation of international laws and a direct threat to the security and stability of the Kingdom and its residents. The spokesperson emphasized that targeting vital facilities and civilian objects reflects the militia's extremist criminal behavior and its categorical rejection of efforts to achieve peace and stability in Yemen and the Arab and Islamic regions. He considered these actions a deliberate attempt to harm the Kingdom's national capabilities. In conclusion, Major General Al-Maliki affirmed that the command of the coalition's Joint Forces will take all necessary operational measures and actions to deter this militia and deal firmly with the sources of threat, in defense of the Kingdom's sovereignty and in preservation of the safety of its citizens and residents. |
