Government forces have successfully liberated the Al-Yatmah area in the Khab wa Ash Sha'f district of Al-Jawf Governorate, northeast Yemen, from Houthi militia control. The operation, launched on Tuesday, involved a large-scale military offensive supported by various military units and tribal fighters. Video footage captured the moment government troops entered Al-Yatmah, following the expulsion of Houthi elements from their positions. This advance signifies significant territorial gains for the government forces in areas previously under militia control. The liberation comes after the government forces initiated a broad military operation on Monday aimed at recapturing Al-Jawf Governorate from the Houthi militia. Military operations are ongoing across several fronts within the governorate. This development occurs amidst continued military actions, including the announcement of a military operation in Al-Bayda by the Giants Brigades, which reportedly resulted in the deaths of 23 Houthi fighters and injuries to dozens more. Separately, the Saudi-led coalition supporting the legitimate government in Yemen has vowed a firm response to Houthi attacks on civilian infrastructure in Saudi Arabia. |
