Yemen Gov't Forces Advance East of Al Jawf, Cut Houthi Supply Lines

Yemeni government forces have continued their advance for a third consecutive day in the eastern fronts of Al Hazm city in Al Jawf Governorate, achieving new territorial gains amidst intense fighting with Houthi militias.

A military source speaking to the Armed Forces Media Center stated that government troops successfully captured the Al Mattafat positions, Mount Al Masariya, and adjacent hills to Mount Al Faraid north of Al Libanat Al Ulya. The forces also secured earth berms and trenches extending approximately 20 kilometers, from Al Dahida positions, passing through Al Sa'ara, and reaching areas near Bir Al Maraziq, east of Al Hazm city.

The source clarified that this territorial progress has resulted in the severing of Houthi militia supply lines on the eastern fronts of the city. The militia reportedly incurred significant human and material losses, with several fighters captured or neutralized and others wounded during the confrontations.

Concurrently with the ground operations, warplanes conducted airstrikes targeting Houthi militia gatherings and positions. According to the military source, these strikes resulted in the destruction of several military vehicles and combat equipment, and the killing of fighters on board.

This escalation occurs amid ongoing military operations east of Al Hazm, with government forces continuing their advance and expanding their control over new positions in the region.
