The Houthi militia has resumed shelling the port of Mocha in Yemen's Taiz Governorate, launching six missiles that resulted in casualties among port workers. Naval and local sources reported that the attack targeted the port, located west of Taiz, with six missiles. The shelling ignited fires on two small wooden vessels that had been previously seized in the Red Sea. According to maritime sources, one of the seized vessels was carrying smuggled materials intended for the Houthi militia. Workers were in the process of unloading its cargo when the attack occurred. The sources further indicated that the bombardment caused damage and fires on both vessels. An additional strike reportedly hindered rescue operations and prevented ambulances from reaching the scene of the attack. The final toll of casualties and damages resulting from the shelling had not been confirmed at the time of reporting. |
