Iranian Expert, Houthi Leaders Killed in Red Sea Island Strike

An Iranian expert specializing in military communications and several Houthi leaders were reportedly killed in an airstrike that destroyed an operations room and missile platforms on Kamaran Island in the Red Sea.

Special military sources informed Akhbar Agency that the Iranian expert had been transferred to Kamaran Island earlier this month, accompanied by militants from the "Somali Youth Movement," to participate in activities related to the militia's military and naval operations.

The strike also resulted in the deaths of Houthi leaders belonging to the so-called "Aerospace Force" of the militia. Furthermore, an operations room and missile launch platforms used for managing and coordinating military movements and operations were destroyed.

According to the sources, the strike targeted a command and control facility on the island that is utilized to coordinate Houthi naval and military activities, amidst the militia's ongoing efforts to bolster its positions and offensive capabilities in the Red Sea.

The intelligence platform "Sheba Intelligence," citing military sources, had previously reported that the strike resulted in the deaths and injuries of several Iranian and Iraqi military experts, with injured individuals being transferred to hospitals in Hodeidah city for treatment. The exact casualty figures could not be independently verified.

Kamaran Island is considered a vital location within the Houthi militia's naval operations network, housing command centers, drone operational sites, and facilities supporting explosive boat operations and naval activities. Reports suggest foreign experts are involved in managing some of these operations.

This strike occurs at a time of escalating warnings regarding the Houthi militia's continued preparations for new naval attacks in the Red Sea, despite ongoing military strikes targeting its capabilities and positions in various regions of Yemen.
