Saudi-owned vessel targeted in Red Sea, crew safe, state news agency says

A Saudi-owned vessel, the ENCELIA, was targeted while sailing in the Red Sea, resulting in a fire at the bow of the vessel, Saudi state news agency (SPA) reported on Thursday, citing an official source at the Transport General Authority (TGA).

The source said all crew members were safe and that authorities had taken necessary measures to secure the vessel
and crew and protect the marine environment.

“These attacks constitute a violation of international laws and conventions that guarantee the safety of commercial vessels and their crews,” SPA added.
