Joint Forces Foil Houthi Attacks in Dhale, Inflicting Heavy Casualties

Joint forces have thwarted significant Houthi infiltration attempts in the northwest of Dhale province, resulting in the deaths and injuries of over 20 militants, including two field commanders, with seven others captured. The clashes occurred in the Al-Fakhir, Al-Jub, Hajar, and Al-Thokhab fronts.

Military sources reported that the Houthi terrorist militia launched coordinated infiltration attempts towards the positions of the joint forces late Wednesday evening, which continued into the early hours of Thursday. Fierce engagements ensued across multiple axes, involving heavy weaponry, ultimately repelling the advances and inflicting substantial human and material losses on the attackers.

The initial casualty count indicates that more than 20 Houthi fighters were killed, two of whom were identified as field commanders, with an unspecified number wounded. Seven combatants were taken prisoner during the intense fighting.

Sources further indicated that the Houthi militia transported a number of their deceased and wounded towards Ibb Governorate. However, by late Thursday, they had reportedly been unable to recover the bodies of several killed fighters who remained on the battlefield in the Al-Thokhab area.

In an attempt to secure the retrieval of their fallen, Houthi forces continued to shell the area with mortar fire. During these confrontations, four members of the joint forces were martyred, and others were wounded. The injured have been transported to a hospital in Dhale Governorate for medical treatment.

The joint forces have since deployed military reinforcements from several brigades stationed in Dhale Governorate. These reinforcements are intended to bolster the units positioned along the contact lines, enhancing their capacity to counter any future assaults.
