Cairo, Egypt – Two Yemeni schools, Al-Orouba and Al-Mustaqbal, celebrated the graduation of 70 high school students yesterday in the Egyptian capital under the banner of the "Watad" cohort. The ceremony, sponsored by the Al- Saleh Social Foundation for Development, underscored the students' continued academic pursuits despite significant challenges stemming from prolonged instability in their home country, a growing number of students studying abroad, and other pressures that could have hindered their progress. The event commenced with a moment of silence and respect for the national anthem, followed by a recitation of the Holy Quran by distinguished student Youssef Al-Saba'i. The program featured speeches from the school principals and students, alongside traditional Yemeni folk dances performed by a local troupe. School administrators, staff, and parents lauded the Al- Saleh Foundation, expressing gratitude to its chairman and founder, the late President Ali Abdullah Saleh, for its ongoing support of education and youth. The school administrations honored all graduates and several teachers. A commemorative shield was presented to the Al- Saleh Foundation in recognition of its continuous efforts and support. Speeches from students, school management, and parents all highlighted the foundation's significant contributions. The ceremony was hosted by prominent media figure Sadeq Al-Qadami. The graduates expressed immense joy after twelve years of perseverance. The event was well-attended by parents, relatives, school officials, representatives from the Al- Saleh Foundation, and notable social figures residing in Egypt. |
