One Houthi militant was killed and two others were injured on Sunday following armed clashes with tribal fighters in the Al-Santeen area of Khamr district, north of Amran province. Local sources reported that the militia dispatched a military vehicle, led by the security director of Khamr district, known as "Abu Ghalib Al-Ghaili," to apprehend members of the Dhirham Sayel family. However, the family refused to surrender, triggering armed confrontations. The exchange of fire resulted in the death of one member of the Houthi contingent and injuries to two others. The remaining militia members subsequently withdrew from the site. Following the initial incident, the Houthis deployed additional reinforcements, including several military vehicles. They have since imposed a siege on Dhirham Sayel's home, issuing threats to detonate it. Security tensions remain high in the area. |
