Houthi Militia Intensifies Abductions in Dhamar Amid Anti-Regime Slogans

The Houthi militia has escalated its security campaign in Dhamar Governorate, targeting several young men in the Al-Hada district following the emergence of anti-Houthi slogans and the defacement of its insignia on roads.

Local sources indicate that Houthi supervisors instructed neighborhood leaders in the center of Al-Hada district to monitor young men suspected of involvement in writing phrases demanding the group's departure, including the slogan: "Leave.. we are tired of your deception," which appeared on the road before Houthi elements removed it.

The sources clarified that this escalation occurred days after the group abducted five young men in early July and transferred them to one of its prisons in Dhamar city. Three of the abducted individuals belong to the Al-Ghuwaibi family, while the other two youths are from the Al-Azizi and Al-Aouaj families.

According to the sources, the pursuit operations are concentrated in the areas of Bani Ziyad, Al-Milh, and Al-Jarsha. The militia has intensified surveillance and search efforts for suspects, concurrently with its elements' actions to remove anti-Houthi slogans and phrases appearing on roads and walls shortly after they are written.

These measures are part of the Houthis' ongoing pursuit of dissenting voices and suppression of popular rejection in areas under their control, amid growing public discontent with their security and political practices.
