Torture Death in Ibb Recalls Al-Ghabri Case Amid Calls for Justice

The death of a young man, Mohammed Mohammed Abdo Al-Najjar, following alleged torture in a home in the Al-Siani district of Ibb Governorate has sparked widespread outrage and calls for the swift apprehension and prosecution of all those involved.

Local sources reported that the victim was lured to a house in the Damagh sub-district under the pretext of assisting with the emergency medical care of a family member. Subsequently, he was allegedly assaulted and tortured by several individuals, reportedly relatives, leading to his death.

Video footage documenting the incident has circulated widely. Information suggests the perpetrators were attempting to coerce Al-Najjar into confessing to accusations of practicing sorcery before he succumbed to his injuries.

According to sources, the primary suspect remains at large. Public appeals are intensifying for the immediate capture of all implicated individuals, the completion of the investigation, and their referral to the judiciary for due legal process.
