Sheikh Hamad bin Fadgham has revealed grave abuses endured during his 50-day detention by Houthi militias, stating he experienced extreme mistreatment and humiliation in a flagrant violation of human dignity. Speaking to Yemen Today channel, Sheikh bin Fadgham asserted that the Houthi militias deliberately target Yemeni tribes with excessive arrogance, seeking to undermine their historical standing by persecuting their prominent figures and degrading their honor since seizing Sana'a by force. This strategy aims to weaken the tribe's social and national role. Sheikh bin Fadgham urged Yemeni tribes to defend their dignity and not remain silent regarding the violations committed by the militias against Yemenis in areas under their control. He called for concerted efforts to liberate these regions from the militias' "reckless actions" and to restore security and social respect. Furthermore, he addressed Yemeni sheikhs directly, imploring them to heed the call and rally at "Matrah Al-Rayyan," which he described as the "rallying point of dignity." The objective is to reclaim the tribe's historical role and status, emphasizing that "the time for liberation has come" and that the current phase necessitates a unified and decisive stance. |
