A child has died from the explosion of a landmine left behind by Houthi forces in the Al-Zaher district of Yemen's Al-Bayda Governorate.

The Yemeni Mine Observatory reported that the victim, 15-year-old Saleh Ali Al-Abd, was killed by a mine planted by the Houthi militia in the "Wadi Al-Makhnaq" area, within the Bilad Al-Humayqan region of Al-Zaher district.

Sources indicated that the explosion occurred while the child was passing through the area on a donkey, resulting in his immediate death.

This tragic incident adds to a long series of civilian casualties, particularly among children and women, who fall victim almost daily to the indiscriminate landmine networks planted by the Houthi militia in roads, farms, and residential areas across various Yemeni governorates.
