UK Maritime Authority Reports Tanker Attack in Strait of Hormuz

The UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) announced on Saturday that a tanker was attacked and struck by an unidentified projectile while navigating the Strait of Hormuz.

The authority, affiliated with the British Royal Navy, stated in a release on the platform "X" that the tanker's captain reported the vessel sustained a direct hit to the bridge area, resulting in material damage to its structure.

The UKMTO confirmed that all crew members aboard the tanker are safe and accounted for, with no injuries reported. There have also been no reports of environmental damage or leaks thus far.
