Residents of Al-Amouqin village in Al-Hades district, Sayyani Directorate, Ibb Province, are experiencing unprecedented security instability due to escalating attacks by armed gangs targeting public tranquility. Local sources reported that elements associated with an armed gang, reportedly supported by Houthi officials, are repeatedly firing live ammunition at citizens' homes and instigating persistent disturbances and assaults during nighttime hours. This has instilled widespread fear and panic among residents, particularly women and children. The sources indicated that these disruptive elements receive support and facilitation from supervisors affiliated with the Houthi militia, who allegedly provide protection to these gangs and prevent their accountability. Villagers have repeatedly appealed to the security apparatuses under the Houthi militia in the province, urging them to fulfill their legal and moral duty to impose security and apprehend the armed individuals disrupting public order. However, these demands have been met with complete disregard and persistent silence. In this context, the residents of Al-Amouqin village hold the Director of Security for Sayyani Directorate and the Houthi leader "Abu Ali Al-Kahlani," appointed by the Houthi militias as the Security Director for Ibb Province, fully responsible for the repercussions arising from this security lapse and any potential escalation due to the ongoing complicity and support of the armed elements by supervisors. |
